Suede Leather
Suede is leather, but it’s the underside of the hide. It’s sanded to create a nap (that fuzzy texture). This process makes it softer but also weaker. The fibers are more exposed, so it’s less resistant to abrasion and staining. In high-traffic upholstery, suede is a poor choice. Jacket Leather: High Maintenance

Suede: The Most Demanding

I’d avoid PU leather when:
- The client expects a natural, luxury feel that will age gracefully.
- The application involves high flexing (e.g., a heavily used armchair) where PU might peel.
- There’s a specific sustainability requirement for natural materials.
